Indication: it is done for the diagnosis of rheumatic arthritis.
Common method: (1) Latex method
                                  (2) Nephlometric method
Principle: Serum+ Latex reagent reaction Agglutination.
Articles: (1) black tile;
                (2) sample (serum);
                (3) dropper/micropipette;
               (4) latex reagent;
              (5) timer, marker, cotton, stick, etc.
Procedure: (1) on a black tile take 1 drop of serum.
                      (2) add 1 drop of latex reagent.
                      (3) mix with stick, rotate gently for 1  -  2 minutes and observe result.
Result: No agglutination = negative
             Agglutination = RA positive.
(N:B) Strongly or weakly positive may be given according to the agglutination.
